Dr.Judit Kimpian is an architect and environmental design expert, lead author of the book Energy |People |Buildings - Making Sustainable Architecture Work (RIBA Publishing 2021). She chairs the Sustainable Architecture Group at the Architects’ Council of Europe’s (ACE), where she works with the representatives of ACE’s 46member organizations to transform EU policies, directives, and standards relating to the built environment, to meet the climate challenge through high quality architecture. She teaches net zero architecture, policy and planning at UCL.

Main ideas: The facade of the building has been designed with the analogy of skeletal muscles in mind, inspired by the anatomical drawings of Michelangelo. The dynamic lines and surfaces running along the whole facade are the abstract mapings of muscle fibers bursting with strength. At night, this network of muscle fibers is coloured by a hidden RGBW LED lighting, occasionally with different colours.
