09.30 - 11.30 PANEL SESSION "Living Architecture: Designing Homes That Feel"
This lecture series explores Living Architecture — a holistic approach to residential design that goes beyond walls and roofs to prioritize affordability, wellbeing, and emotional connection. Across sessions, we will examine how architecture can nurture lives, not just house them.
Through the lens of affordable housing, we’ll look at strategies for inclusive, sustainable design that responds to social and environmental needs. We’ll also explore wellbeing in architecture, diving into how light, space, materials, and nature shape our mental and physical health.
The series will introduce the idea of the "affective house" — homes that hold meaning, evoke emotion, and create a sense of belonging. We’ll ask: What makes a house feel like home? And how can we, as architects, help people live not just more affordably, but more fully?

09.30 - 11.30 PANEL SESSION "Cities in Renewal: Urban Design and the Role of Public Architecture"
This session explores how urban design and public buildings play a transformative role in regenerating cities — socially, economically, and culturally. As urban areas evolve, the design of public spaces and civic architecture becomes a tool not just for renewal, but for reconnection.
We’ll examine how thoughtful urban regeneration can breathe new life into old neighborhoods, reimagining disused infrastructure and forgotten places as vibrant, inclusive, and resilient environments. From libraries to cultural centers, parks to plazas, public buildings serve as anchors of community life — fostering identity, belonging, and shared experience.
Through case studies and design strategies, we’ll look at how urban design can address inequalities, activate underused spaces, and respond to the complex layers of city life. The session will ask: How can architecture repair, rather than replace? And how can design empower communities to reclaim their urban narratives?
